Smart Bin Workshop
Build a Smart Solution to Everyday Problems!
In this hands-on workshop, students will learn how to create a smart bin—a clever solution to waste management using technology! They'll dive into the world of microprocessors and discover how these small but powerful devices can be used to solve real-world challenges.
Throughout the workshop, students will explore the engineering design process and learn essential skills like wiring, working with sensors and actuators, and coding a microprocessor. By the end of the day, they'll have built an automatic smart bin that senses when trash is near and opens automatically, making waste disposal smarter and easier.
Workshop Details:
Time: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Lunch: Please pack lunch, water and light snacks for the day
Tech: If possible please bring their device (iPad or laptop) with them.
Workshop Highlights:
Hands-On Engineering Project: Design and build an automatic smart bin using microprocessors, sensors, and actuators.
Learn About Microprocessors: Discover how microprocessors work and how they can be programmed to control physical devices.
Explore Wiring and Sensors: Get hands-on experience with wiring, sensors, and actuators to bring your smart bin to life.
Code Your Smart Bin: Learn how to program a microprocessor to create an automatic response system for the smart bin.
Guided by Experienced Educators: Our educators will guide students through the entire engineering process, ensuring a fun, safe, and educational experience.
Spots are limited, so register today and let your young engineer build their very own smart solution to everyday problems!
